Quick Install Modular Terrace
Each structure can come with a quick-install modular terrace. They are made from larch, ash or OSB hexagonal panels.
How our wind resistant technology works
Our structures are built with reinforced frame, custom fixing system, and aerodynamic shapes.
Reinforced frame
Our tunnel pavilion is built around reinforced steel arcs that form the main structural ribs of the tunnel. Each arc is made from multiple curved steel sections joined with steel connector plates, creating a strong and rigid frame.
High-Wind Fixing System
This fixing system anchors the pavilion to the ground without requiring a concrete foundation. The tube frame is connected to the wooden terrace frame with steel angle brackets, while a long steel rod or angle section is driven deep into compacted ground beside the terrace.
The ground anchor helps resist uplift and horizontal forces caused by wind, while the terrace frame distributes the loads through the structure. The system can also be removed, making it suitable for temporary or repeat installations.
Aerodynamic Shape
The curved, aerodynamic shape allows wind to flow smoothly over and around the structure instead of pushing directly against large flat surfaces. This helps reduce wind pressure and limits concentrated loads on the frame.
Combined with a properly engineered frame and anchoring system, this geometry helps the structure withstand wind speeds of up to 100 km/h.
