DOME HUB SYSTEMS

T-STAR system

T-STAR is the most versatile system we have and can be used for all types of domes.

A star-shaped hub is connected by screws with frame elements – struts.

Many types of frame materials fit T-STAR hubs: steel, aluminium, wood and glued timber, as well as glass fibre profiles, are suitable for this system of assembly.

The t-shaped profile is the most commonly used. However, there are other options for frame profiles (U-shaped, C-shaped, angular, H profiles or HEB profiles).

Benefits: The most robust and versatile system we have.

Usage: It is suitable for almost all types of domes, cold and insulated buildings.

T-STAR system is used for administrative, commercial and industrial-warehousing purpose building structures or their parts (roofs, large skylights).

Available options of the T-STAR system:

  • Steel
  • Aluminium

TUBE system

TUBE system frame details are made from round metal pipes of different lengths ranging in diameter from 15mm to 50mm. Frame details are interconnected with screws (single bolt assembly).

Advantages: Convenient transportation, quick assembly and disassembly, and robust aerodynamic design.

Usage: Domes for events, arbours, hangars for aeroplanes, and sports. It is usually used for temporary or seasonal buildings, as well as cold pavilions.

Available TUBE system options:

  • Hot-dip galvanized steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Powder coating

Examples of the TUBE system

STAR system

STAR connectors are made of 1.5mm-5mm thick steel. Laser-cut star-shaped parts can be used with metal, timber, aluminium, and glass fibre frames. Suitable for cold and insulated constructions.

Advantages: Low price. Good anti-corrosion protection. The assemblies can be used with the frames of different materials. Suitable for DIY projects, hinges can be cut from your materials according to the drawings provided by us.

Usage: Suitable for almost all types of domes, cold and warm buildings and structures, residential houses, pavilions, and greenhouses.

The following options of the STAR system are available:

  • Structural steel
  • Stainless steel

      Fiberglass

      Glass fibre profile shapes: T, U, C, L-shaped angles, H and HEB. Standard colour is grey.

      Glass fibre construction profiles are used everywhere where specific material requirements are brought.

      Glass fibre products can be used in the following areas: chemical industry, food industry, sewage treatment plant, and textile and paper industry.

      It can also be used for construction in the following applications: bridge construction, tunnel construction, installations used on the high seas, and tunnel construction.

      It can be used for STAR and T-STAR system assemblies.

      Fiberglass advantages:

      • Corrosion resistant;
      • High mechanical resistance;
      • Low weight;
      • Chemical resistant;
      • Improves dielectric properties;
      • Anti-magnetic, does not cause radio interference;
      • Heat and cold resistant;
      • High UV resistance;

        Construction timber

        Simple constructional timber is also used for dome frames. Timber adds to the dome a sense of cosiness and naturalness. Higher profile timber beams can be used to build and insulate residential or commercial domes for all seasons.

        Construction timber: Natural unprocessed timber, not impregnated.

        Constructional impregnated timber: Natural untreated surface. Impregnated timber protects against moisture and biological effects, as well as prolongs timber service life. Deep or simple impregnation, Class I-IV.

        Constructional structural timber: Planed surface, not impregnated:

        • Timber can be painted, varnished or coated with special oils;
        • Customer logo laser engraving is also available.
        • Class C12-C24.

          Glued timber

          Glued timber support structures are high-tech straight or curved timber frame elements. Such structures are up to 80% stronger and up to 40% more rigid than conventional solid timber structures of the same dimensions.

          It can be used for STAR system assemblies.

          Glued timber advantages:
